About Ball Valve

Ball Valves are quarter-turn valves that control fluid flow using a spherical ball with a central bore, seated between two sealing surfaces. A 90° rotation of the lever handle aligns the bore with the pipeline to open or positions it perpendicular to close, providing tight shut off. The handle’s alignment parallel when open and perpendicular when closed, offers clear visual status.Ball valves are valued for quick operation, low pressure drop, and reliable sealing in various industrial applications

Advantages of Ball Valves

  • Provides bubble-tight service
  • Quick to open and close
  • Smaller in size than a gate valve
  • Lighter in weight than a gate valve
  • Multiport design offers versatility not available with gate or globe valves. It reduces the number of valves required
  • Several designs of ball valves offer flexibility of selection
  • Can be used in clean and slurry applications
  • High-quality ball valves provide reliable service in high-pressure and high-temperature applications
  • Force required to actuate the valve is smaller than that required for a gate or a globe valve
